Fuel line as oil line

Just received my roll of 3/8 black line , to replace my 12 yr. old engine oil lines . Advertised as oil line , but I'm a tad nervous now after reading this :
Codan FUEL HOSE BSAU 108/2-L4R & SAE J30 R6 WP 12 BAR 9.5 300910 . As received , small roll of # 1 .
GATES 4219XL SAE 30R7 FUEL LINE PVC/EEC 3/8 " ( 99.5 mm. ) 50 PSI . ( 3.4 BAR ) SAE 30R7 Not For Fuel Injection Systems Made in Mexico . As recieved , small roll of #2 .
All comments appreciated before installation as replacements .

FWIW 30R7 is not rated for hot oil. I used transmission hose (maybe 30R9) from NAPA. Might work, but why risk it?

You should be nervous. My stepson thought it was good for oil lines. He and my grandson went for a long ride on a hot day. The hose split at the beginning of his long driveway, and it was almost finished gushing when he shut it off in the garage. Another mile to two...

I use: Amazon product ASIN B000CRBQAE I use a lot so 25' rolls. It's available shorter and in some auto parts stores.

this Codan spec pipe is resistant to fuel and oil ( ethanol resistant ) with a burst pressure of 10 bar why worry
if your oil pump produces more than 10 bar on the return side please order me one

I find some products are not fully/clearly specified by the reseller, so check back with maker’s website etc.

All at sea with the specs in the description, 9.5 bar (or is that 12 bar), 3.4 bar and 50 psi (which is 3.4 bar) so they don't seem to understand what they are selling which means it could be anything.

But it does not mention any temperature ratings. I would imagine any pipe that is tolerant of E10 would be fine with cold lubricating oil, but oil at high temperatures is the issue we have.

I have used this on bikes where the pressure side must be plumbed to filter & cooler.

Hey that's a couple pics of my old Yammy 750 , which I happily drove for 3 years . No probs. with it despite the counter rotating balancer discussion / potential issue . Miss it .

I rode one to high school at 16yo. Sold it for a Super Glide after one year.

30 years later I bought that one at auction, restored & rode it 12 years.

I performed all the updates to this last one. (Dad listened to the engine on the first one I had, and said: "hurry & get rid of that") Sump extension and the balancer shaft eccentric tensioner. Also, as you can see I made a spin on filter block, mounted it to the swing arm. Worked great.
I hated to sell the bike, but just had not enough storage space, and not enough time to ride 'em all.

Awesome , I miss that bike so much. Never seen one again until your photos .
Re : Storage space , welcome to the street , with a permit and cover of course .

Gates ( Christopher ) got back to me and yes , this is a fuel hose not rated for oil use .
So I will be sending on the message to my supplier .
