ref my Q re suspension and fairings etc : fairing is about 6-8 lbs with lights n bracket. Clip ons have to add a fed moment compared to normal bars..

Well I would say Maxton having spent a couple of grand with them around 2013 for complete front and rear suspension on my Rickman.
I looked at converting a Norton fork setup, but because I didn't have any donor parts, it was actually cheaper and easier to buy their own manufactured Ceriani 35mm replica legs.
Honda 600 style cartridge inserts in either case. Maxton suggested they sometimes don't get everything to their satisfaction with some of the donor Norton parts, so that was a gamble too.
