Just to keep you up to date, I finally remove my carburator and it was stuck in 3 years of gaz evaporated! LOLL

I am going to the bike shop to get some carb cleaner.

I will keep up the news.

Carb cleaner may not be enough. Be prepared to poke a fine wire through EVERY passage, then verify flow with aerosol spray.

That's what my mecanics told me! ;) I will do it too :)

I have a brand new VM that I put on my Atlas. I even drained the floats before I put it away for winter only to have it still be gummed up from the horrible USA gasoline.

Here in Canada, the gaz isn't better. There is even a case where gaz stations were putting water in it, or replace the premium with 87 octane!

Do you have any advise on how to clean my carb? It's a single Mikuni VM34. i used an engine degreaser, but it's too strong for my aluminium carb.

A soak in cleaner may not do it. You need to manually clean the jets and passageways and blow carb cleaner through everything last.
Use a stiff plastic or soft copper wire for jets. Don't scratch them with steel wire.

I think the common culprit on VMs is the pilot jet, which, if I recall correctly, is quite buried in the carb body and really needs removing to ensure its property cleaned out.
