US Commandos were geared low, so lots of fun when you twist the throttle. Your RH4 head flows the best for a 850 with 32mm carbs. I'm sure you have a 20T trans sprocket and that's fine for a 850. It would be only slightly smoother with the crossover exhaust, but I hope you enjoy the bark of the exhaust you have now.
The Rally is coming your way next year, so get ready for hundreds more Nortons in your neighborhood.

Love the bark of the peashooter exhaust! And it has RH10 heads.
 
My Nortons get called Noddy occasionally - as a homage to the local musician the Wolverhampton factory workers must surely have been listening to while carefully assembling the bikes :)

"Cuz I Luv You" was No1 around the time my Commando was built.
