Well, get used to it and the rides will be smoother and you can contemplate changes to make them even more fun.
US Commandos were geared low, so lots of fun when you twist the throttle. Your RH4 head flows the best for a 850 with 32mm carbs. I'm sure you have a 20T trans sprocket and that's fine for a 850. It would be only slightly smoother with the crossover exhaust, but I hope you enjoy the bark of the exhaust you have now.
The Rally is coming your way next year, so get ready for hundreds more Nortons in your neighborhood.
