Festival of 1000 Bikes July 7th 8th

What a fantastic weekend at Mallory!

It was great to meet Ralph, and Alan, and a couple of other chaps.

Nice to see and hear Ralph out on his lovely Seeley, not hanging around either!

I also had a great conversation with the Norton head of Quality who was there. Hello again if you’re reading this... and I apologise as I never got your name.

The Trident Hunter bagged several Tridents, inc some North’s!

And the 961 bagged a couple of new Hinckley Thruxton !!

Good to meet you as well, but how did you get out of the paddock before the end?, I bumped into oldmikew and told him where you were in the paddock but you had gone :)

What bike are you taking to the Beezumph?

I managed to get out when they opened the gates at lunchtime Ralph.

The Trident Hunter (‘74 850) front end was playing up. Forks seemed to have lost all damping, so gotta check this out before taking it out again.

I’m hoping that new fork oil and checking the wheel balance is all that’s required.

If not, I might just bite the bullet and send the fork sliders and stanchions to Maxton.

So... long way of saying that I might only have the new ‘un out to play with.
