The main differences between those two carburetors is the Keihin is a pumper and is highly adjustable,it is a very precise instrument if you can tune it for maximum return,it started life as a race part.
The rollerised slide is a bonus also.
First thing noticed on Norton's is the side draft version is still mounted to flat due to ergonomics,I would question that carburetor on any classic bike not in race trim (if there was a class for that) not that is a reason not to on a mild street bike if you want to invest the dollars.
I wonder if anyone has used a 39 or 41mm FCR on a single 'carb manifold.
