Give it a wee squeeze at the wide bit of the rear loop , with a block of wood at each end between the rails , to keep it straight .. :wink:

Fair enough, but we are talking of some 16mm here, so I suspect that's a little optimistic without applying heat. This is also why other suggestions of just taking a bit out of the gel coat just is not going to work.

Mind you, on the other hand, this may be less complex than the cut & shut option.
