The OP was "considering buying" a 1968 Commando and no mention of it having a "magneto". Fitting electronic ignition to the 20M3 points housing should be straightforward (if not already done), however, as the OP hasn't logged in since that first post more than two months ago, maybe decided not to buy.

I installed the Boyer, works perfectly. A friend had an original FG tank on his Commando. He was in an accident add got got doused with gasoline when the tank broke apart. I would not ride with a FG tank. I had a metal one made years ago. Still have all my OEM parts.

Found a tank great price, free delivery fit is good to the bike but then discovered that the recess is 1/2" too small. I checked with all of the India tank makers and all have a recess that is too small. Even asked one place to make me a tank wiht correct size r3ecess and never had a response.

Nice tank so will fill in the recess and keep on going.

Why don't you increase the size of the round recess's so you can fit the correct emblem ...or is that what you intend to do ?
