Exhaust sealant

Hi All,
i noticed yesterday when I had the bike running that there is leakage from where the de-cat pipe clamps onto the header pipes (you can feel it chuffing forwards out of the join) and also where the cone section attaches to the de-cat pipe. Would it be a good idea to put some exhaust sealant in there before I tighten the clamps up? Does anyone else do this or should i just try to reposition the clamps more effectively and tighten them more?

Very good question. Mine does the same and I didn't think I could address it until you asked the question. If you try the sealant let us know how it works out, please.

No problems to report with the South Bays. Anybody remember the name of the company that made the pipes for SBN? I wonder if they do custom works or would duplicate those pipes upon request for a customer.

I believe Cone Engineering made the exhausts for SBN.

Took the pipes and the de-cat pipe off, applied some manifold sealant, reclamped them back together. Started her up. All good, no more leaks :D
I have on order:
Crankcase breather kit
Progrips
Bosch ignition coil
New plug wires
Camshaft sensor
Head temperature sensor
Irridium plugs
New mirrors.

Looking forward to getting those on and going for a ride
