Exhaust pipe help

i ordered a new set of unbalance exhaust pipes from a canadian supplier. they i installed them and snugged they up and stuffed a piece of timber into the end to verify alignment. they are hanging at least an 1.5" low , and im getting grief since the vendor claims no previous problems.

on the left side it doesnt clear the side stand , and the right side would require a whole lot of muscle to get it up to the mounting points.




in comparison here is the exhaust install on my 73



it seems to me that on the replace exhaust the top bend is not tucked in as tight as on the old 73. what has everyone else had to do to get teir replacement to fit?

if they won’t replace them, find two small trees siamesed together 3-4” diameter each, end carefully complete the forming process. Go slow and easy until you find the yield point.

Send him the photos and send them back..... Threaten to 'name and shame' if necessary...

(Mind you, there was one supplier, no names mentioned of course, who in a similar position might have suggested that you'd mounted them on the wrong sides, upside down or back to front!)
