Electronic Tach & Speedo?

Yep. Autometer Pro-Cycle's. Fred's making mounts for them (I'm running his 2nd set, out of two made so far - so there might be a slight wait before the next one's are made).

They need negative ground wiring because the instrument cases are grounded.

Got them recently, but they look nice and and seem to work very well.

Der Hiller -

Which of the Autometer Pro-Cycle speedos and tachs are you using. I went to their web site but there are so many different ones I didn't know where to start.

And when you say "Fred's making mounts.." , do you mean OldBritts?

Do you have photos of the instruments on your bike?

Thanks -

Keith Kelly

Keith:

Yes, Fred at Old Britts is where I got mine. They're on the Coming Soon page on the site because he doesn't want to push them until he's done with the neg ground wiring harnesses. Ignore the key-switch and indicator light panel in his picture as that's not part of the install.

The gauges are 3 1/4" diameter.

I've seen pictures that look like CNW and Dreer have both done something similar on some of their bikes. Could be wrong though.

I've got a photo of just the tach and can take another of both when I bring my camera home from the office.

Finally, I think the the pinch bracket looks a bit clunky and it's definitely way overbuilt.

thanks for the photo and quick follow up.

Yeah, those mounting brackets look big and clunky (and strong enough to do the job about 20 times over!)

Did you change your wiring to negative ground to accommodate the instruments?

Did you buy the instruments from OldBritts or directly from the supplier?

How much?

Thanks again.

PS - I'd love to get rid of the big clunk tach and speedo cables and their respective drives - and am curious others' experiences with electronic alternatives.
