Bit of a random question but what makes an electronic ignition system clockwise or anticlockwise
In this instance it's an elektronik Saches system
Is it built into the CDI unit
Or to do with the pickup?
Or simply the way the pick-up is wired?
 
Regarding the Sachse site , they supply the clockwise (Triumph)or the anti clockwise (Norton) is the difference in the unit or the pick up ?? no clue sorry...

Though they said in their title norton .triuph ,bsa , when you go down in the description they add clock or anti clock !

Yes that's what I have been looking at
I have a ZDG3 .12 unit with a clock wise pick up
I'm wondering if I can just buy an anti clockwise pickup
Or if there is more to it?
 
Just looking again , they seem to have all (for our brit twin ) the same pick up PU 15, so we can "imagine" the solution is inside the magic box ???
 
I'm wondering if I could flip the rotor and pickup over to reverse it ?
Wouldn't be too difficult with this set up
