Dose IS tank make my chopper seat look fat?

I had worn drum teeth and never taken it 100 miles away so just rode legal to get to rally, but apparently along the way the bearing sorta crumbled. Not noticed on the fly but easing off a roll bike would judder sudden violently for a few mph then settled out. I mistook this for the cargo shifting, But a couple days from Ohio it flipped me off the RH, on the way down I freaked at the bent handle bars crushed into tank and lost signal or peg, so I stuck my R leg back under the bike to take the impact, which fractured foot but saved the bike. Only at rally discovered the decayed bearing and switched it. On way back 200 miles out in a city, a sports bike pulled up at light and cocked head on seeing a Commando asking what it was.
When light changed I gave it a bit more umphf, to wheelie all the way across the intersection, un-inteded but pleased no end it went just right : )

Nice metal gray IS and Old Brits plush rump retainer, looks the business in man size proportions to me. Part of Peel's appeal is to keep as much basic Commando as practical and be all conditions cargo mule, not some paired down road racer. So more double takes and head cocking at rest stops when they finally arrive. I'm spoiled by Commando delivering me rested and refreshed not stressed and strained. I'll get a photo of top down, that shows off an IS tank big seat and luggage rack Commando's broad shoulders to adapt to about anything. My ultimate load to secure is one of my PU truck wheels.

BTW, fiber IS tank weights about the same as steel Roadster tank both ~6 lb
Seat is a bit beefy but relieves pilot of a lot of holding on in flings yet compresses enough for me to distinctly feel the rear patch adhesion sense.

I'm late to the game on this thread but I don't think my steel interstate tank looks fat. Maybe it's the angle.

Too early to tell, need to see the rest of stuff fitted and a profile shot. By the way, it is said and I think its true...pinstrips on the tank make it look slimmer. I've seen it many years ago side by side with a couple of Interstates (one had a very similar overall green no pinstripes, the other black n gold) and its quite noticable.

LOL rip, I'd missed that one. We say in the south a big gal keeps the sun off in summer and cozy warm in winter : )

I agree on the pins stripes but so far not sure how to acquire them. Have considered barbed wire tape pin stripe, or hire out for the old school hot rod art deco fans, but just don't know what to do to slim down the visual impact.

I expect lots of nicks and scraps so rattle can and clear coat is about all Peel gets but will be a bit different over all. Tank is final color but not really just beatle green.

The seat and tank look good to me - proportional.
But..... I think that the front fender is going to look too small when you get everything else bolted back on.
IMHO of course!

Hm Marks brings up another quandary on Peel. To really live on Peel I need both a decent fender with mud flap and frame splash guard. But I'm as vain as anyone and picked this one as best compromise of sleekness vs coverage. In Twiggy dress state just raw tires shown, bicycle seat and tiny gas tank, no air station, no water tank, no supercharger, no air muscles and no full auto markers and video.
Just head and tail light, maybe.

Smoker Joker mid night Toker, till I'm gone.
