Yep, you do notice a little dip in midrange imoLess power. More noise.
Don't know about on a dyno, because, well screw that....at least on the road you're riding away from the noise

Definitely too much noise. I'm taking the pipes down to a company called Zero exhausts for them to take a look at them. Talking with them, they think they can help.Or…

I sent pictures to GLB for him to post up here in another thread.... dig them out and print them off mate, as it's a set that Norton made. It'll give your guys something to start from at least
yep, so in theory, I should be able to fit them without the Domi specific parts.Jason from the FB site has fitted Domi pipes to his 961!!! I like em‘, I like em’ a lot! Adds a new dimension to our debate over shorts v longs! More noise makes me happy! No annual inspection in Queensland so no one to object, other than the local constabulary (and possibly the neighbours). The way I see it, every added decibel makes me feel a commensurate year younger! Can‘t argue with that.

Ha! I have a set of pipes from Zero Exhaust on my MV Agusta Rivale triple. Loud as f*ck but I love them. Zero make some nice pipes, and have done a ton of custom one-off work. Their MV triple pipes were sold through a third party distributor, but that arrangement went away for some reason. When you go there let them know that their MV pipes are well appreciated by a lot of yanks!Definitely too much noise. Yep, I saw the MV stuff on their site. They are about an hour from me. It's actually not that far, distance wise, but this is Kent and they are in the sticks, so lots of small roads to get to them, which takes time. I'll pass on the sentiments! I'm sure they will appreciate it!Ha! I have a set of pipes from Zero Exhaust on my MV Agusta Rivale triple. Loud as f*ck but I love them. I visited Zero today and mentioned your comment. Kevin seemed genuinely pleased! He did say they were loud!Ha! I have a set of pipes from Zero Exhaust on my MV Agusta Rivale triple. I'll do a video tomorrow, YouTube it and link it here tomorrow....as I need to road test this open megaphoned one again (got some ear plugs now)That bikes got baffles in it
Not in person, only online have I seen it, to my recollection.Hey Stu, you seen anybody else fit Domi pipes to the Commando? Any idea how much these beauties cost, ignoring availability at the moment?
Can’t imagine they would impact on running very much, as my (gutted) open longs are pretty much straight through.
Yes, it doesOpen megas only ever work well in a very narrow rpm range. That’s why folk invented the word ‘megaphonitis’ shortly before inventing the reverse cone mega !
Putting a straight through lagged perforated tube in there is basically going to turn them into straight open pipes, and would quite probably make them run better I’d have thought.
That's the hope. Classic Dominator looks, but more acceptable and hopefully not reduced performance!Yes, it does
Baffles, definitely baffles. Have you ever followed one without them? You could only do it once!well, I have Megaphones. These don't look like they have ever been run, but I'm investigating baffle solutions before I even think about running them.
