Does anyone know about a tan colored gas tank sealer?

I bought a 70 Triumph and the stock gas tank had sealer in it. The color of this sealant is tan. I know the white sealer is no good for the newer gas but don't know about this tan stuff. I've had it a couple of years and don't see any problems occurring but need to know if it is trustworthy or not because if not, then I will need to remove it so I can eventually paint the entire bike. Please let me know if anyone out there has had any experience with this tan tank sealer or just knows the brand. Thanks for any help on this. Jim

Is it a smooth sealer, or rough textured? My Velocette tank has a tan sealer and I'm also questioning the type as I'm considering removing it.

Wondering if we have the same type of sealer...

That's a hard question to answer. If you look at it down in the tank, it doesn't look smooth but if you feel the coating that is up by the fill spout, it feels fairly smooth. Do you know what brand your sealer is? I had never seen another tan tank slosh (sealer), in bike or car, until this one.

I think the white Kreem sealer will turn tan after a while from the gasoline. See if a little acetone affects it.

I don't believe this is Kreem. It is a uniform tan even up on the fill spout where very little gas touches it.
