Delaware helmet laws

In NYC the cops may give you a ticket for riding with the visor open on a full face helmet. You may have adequate eye protection on (safety glasses etc) but the way they see it that's the law.
If the helmet doesn't have a visor and you're wearing the same type glasses there's no ticket.
Makes no sense but it makes money

IIRC I used Greendot in my 20 ga loads . Been a long time since I stuffed shells . Shooting four rounds of skeet every Wednesday for a few years made it a financial necessity.

Would also improve road safety according to Gordon Tullock.

“The name "Tullock's spike" refers to a thought experiment in which Tullock suggested that if governments were serious about reducing road casualties, they should mandate that a sharp spike be installed in the center of each car's steering wheel, to increase the probability that an accident would be fatal to the driver. Tullock's idea was that the normal process of risk compensation would then lead to safer driving by the affected drivers, thereby actually reducing driving fatalities”.

Although I would wear one anyway, IMHO, they should not be required in the US. In countries where there is "free" medical, then I can see them being required. Since in the US, you get hurt - you pay, I don't understand the societal need to take away the right to this personal freedom. If you have a crash, a helmet does nothing to protect society, only your head. Required eye protection makes more sense. If you get hit in the eye(s) while riding you could easily cause an accident that includes others, so society does have an interest.
