1000 RPM is considered about as low as you can go and still retain enough oil movement to keep the motor happy. Not that you can't go lower, just not good for it. Your air screw settings should be closer to normal now are they?

I picked up a couple #78's from a hobby shop if you can't find it at a house. Something that deals with planes rc cars etc.

Stopped by Grainger today. Ordered two #78s and 2 #77s. They'll be in tomorrow - about $2.50 apiece.

Worntorn's Amal tuning guide mentions the #78 as the standard, with the option of boring out the jet with a #77 or #76 if necessary. I figured, 'may as well have a couple just in case'

Also picked up a couple of rubber motor mounts with 1/4-20 threads for the oil tank (one of the old ones separated). Same physical size as the original, also about $2.50 apiece.

I'll be clearing the jets tomorrow night.

I have my idle screws set 1 1/2 out give or take a tweak. Am idling approx 1200-1400 if I believe my tach
