Dave Nourish retires

Eddie, we have a programme in Australia called 'Mens' Sheds' It provides meeting places for retired men so they can pursue hobbies and talk to other old idiots like myself. When I was trying to build the club rooms for our Winton Motorcycle Club, I tried to incorporate the old Mechanics' Institute and Mens Sheds into the activity. I will have to think about that some more - thanks for reminding me.
There is another thing that I have been doing for the oldies. My old mum - in-law died recently. Before that, I used to download the trad jazz and British comedy clips from Youtube and make DVDs for her, which she loved even though she had dementia. I always gave a copy to our local old peoples' home. Their activities coordinator recently said to me 'please don't forget about us'. Apparently they love the DVDs on rainy days. It is probably a highly illegal activity.

Its nice to know that proper comedy (ie British Comedy) is still providing service around the globe...

Sorry, I've given you the wrong impression. I wasn't refering to your post when I mentioned bullshit - there are other forces at work here :?. The days are drawing out, albeit slowly at the moment, spring's not far away. .
