Dave Meyer (hairy Bikers)

Dave Meyer the big fellow from the 2 Hairy Bikers cooking show passed away from cancer, loved watching their travels and cooking on TV.

dave Myers! I have enjoyed their many series here on UK BBC channels over the years. He didn’t want a fuss made about his type of cancer, and they managed one more series in the west of Britain after his initial treatments and regaining enough strength to ride a bit more, and kept quiet about severity of illness.

Thousands turned out today for Dave Myers ( let’s do him the honor to get his name right this time) for his memorial ride…



I watched the final program last week.Apparently during the whole series he had been receiving chemo therapy. It was very touching.

A very sad occasion as they both brought motorcycling to the masses over many year with their cooking programmes.

It was all too obvious to see just how ill he was getting to be in the final few episodes. His mate Si King was visibly distressed talking about him in the last episode, and the loss of Dave will undoubtedly hit him hard.

RIP Dave Myers.
