I vaguely remember the story associated to the Swindler.
It’s from the early days of the 961 introduction in Europe.
I believe it went something like this:
The original owner bought the bike and encountered the frustrating problems that were common in the early models.
He struggled to get the problems resolved by the factory at that time.
The relationship between the owner and the factory became “strained” and the owner eventually declared the Norton 961’s to be a big swindle on customers.
He then set forth on his own to tear apart his 961 and remake it into his idea of what a Norton motorcycle should be.
Thus was born the Swindler.
