Competition for the new Norton?

It shares two basic observations with the new Norton (in my opinion): High price niche market, specific styling niche market.

If the HP figures prove true, it should whip the new Norton and any Bonnie/Thruxton that has less than the equivalent total price tag spent on go-fast goodies.

...in other words, i think the HP figures are a tad optimistic.

(hmmmmm.... where have i heard that before?)

$25k? Good luck with that.

The time may have passed for these retro bikes. The guys (no offense to some, or most of you here) who wanted these bikes when they were younger (and can now afford them) are getting old or dead. 10 years ago was probably the pinnacle for this kind of bike. Now? Not so much.

Front end looks good but from the tank backwards is all messed up for my liking.$25k too is way overpriced I mean think how many other machines you could buy for that money?

For the record, métissé does NOT mean mongrel, at least not in a pejorative way. Métissé means of mixed breed which is what the bikes made by the Rickman brothers were, their running gear and the engine by someone else. I may be wrong, but the only times I ever heard mongrel in english was to describe dogs, in french, métissé is used to describe offsprings of mixed races, especially black and white but it is not derogatory.

Oh, the Métissé looks nice, too much for my means though.

I'd rather have the steve mcqueen reissue, but you're right 25k is a ton of money considering there's no jobs, no one is getting a raise, and taxes are going to skyrocket next year. Definitely not a good time.
