Wow, here's a piece of history that fetched a pretty high price on ebay. Without emailing for more details it's hard to speculate on what all the extra bits were. It was some serious coin at any rate.

It's nice to see actually.

What a huge price for something that doesn't seem to have any racing history and is essentially a standard Commando with some trick bits which are all readily available. you could build 3 production racers for this price.

I could be a legend in my own lunchtime with my three production racers in complementary colours!

I expect it will go back in some one's collection as "the Phil Schilling bike".

I think we'd all like to see some 'photographic evidence', then?

By the time you purchase a Commando and have it re-worked by CNW you will be spending well over $30K.

I have never seen a CNW bike for sale; Knowing Matt I'm sure that owners probably get burried with them...

Or by them ($$$$)

Seriously, has anyone seen a CNW build for sale, not just a vanilla Norton with tons of CNW partsRS

The bike used on the corbin site sold for 18k, not positive it's a cnw, but I think it is-def looks like one. A woman was selling one of the first cnw builds on ebay a month or 2 ago- only got around 8k.

Les, My three proddy racers only exist notionally at the moment, so my legendary status will also have to remain so for the time being. I will however with your kind help post some photos of my Dunstall cafe racer project in it's current dismal dismantled state and some interim images as I progress.

Certainly...whenever you are ready?

I hope that wasn't my friend Smmy's bike. He divorced and she got two of his bikes, he was hoping to talk her out of it...

I've seen one CNW Norton on ebay witin the last year.

I'm pretty sure that came from 'The Garage Company'.
http://www.garagecompany.com/

I'm not justifying the price but they specilaize in eclectic rides and have a very good rep.
It is a marvelous place to visit. 8)
I've dropped a few dollars there.
