I have been onto Norton for about 8 weeks and they're on backorder, so I'm trying to find an equivalent spring. Those are not available from Norton ? Ask Max why .

Because the free length is 50mm and it's dragging and won't engage gear.Just out of curiosity, why do you wish to change the clutch springs ?
Yup. Last year....mechanic found that after I changed the slave cylinder and the clutch reservoir and master cylinder. Save yourself a few bucks and check that first. You could bleed it first, but if that doesn't work, check the center nut. Clutch basket moved out a bit.Is it possible that your clutch push rods have worn down and not giving the required travel to fully release the clutch ? Is your slave cylinder loose or the ball bearing come out ? These things would change the travel distance and not fully disengage the clutch. Is it possible that the hub center nut on the clutch has loosened and allowing the basket to move away from the push rod ? Something like this has happened to Britfan60 a year or two ago . You have the primary cover off because you have measured the springs . Good luck , let us know .
