Having had issues with the fit of several sets of poorly fitting aftermarket header pipes I've been told the same by vendors. Odd then that the set I found that fit like a glove where an old set of rusty originals that I found at a flea market. Coincidence? Maybe. But it makes me wonder if some times it's just a convenient excuse. Some of the new pipes I tried where a really bad fit. Problem I have now is that while the old pipes fit really well the re-chrome didn't go so well and will have to be done again some time.Somewhere on this site I believe I read that the problem is the head and specifically the angle of
the ports.
A lot of what goes on with Norton is the fact that back then nothing was CNC and variations and
specs were rarely spot on.
