Ugly bike in my opinion
Ridiculous rear brake rod setup
I wouldn't mind betting that the brake plate is anchored to the frame without being converted to fully floating
Yeah - but, on the upside, if it weren't for ugly bikes like that, we would not appreciate beautiful bikes.
The world needs balance!

Then there are those weirdos that think our bikes are ugly - more power to them I say!
Keeps morons off Nortons;)

How low can you go!! Is this the best chassis for performance mods?? I suppose it's in the eye of the beholder at the end of the day....

I imagine that only 230miles from build is an indication that it is unride-able.

One thing to note is on some choppers is how much faster they are after being hardtailed
If you have ridden the same bike before and after its quite noticeable
I assume because you are sitting so much lower ?

I once rode a hot rigid-framed Triumph 650 down an airstrip at about 105 MPH. The rear wheel never seemed to touch the ground.

How many rigid-framed Ducati Desmosedicis are there. Somebody might like to turn one into a chopper . How many ways can you do it wrong ?
Doing it to a Commando would be cruelty to dumb animals. Ring the RSPCCA ?

If you don't like them don't build one and don't ride one
What's the problem ?
They are built for a purpose
It's like telling a pizza bike rider you really shouldn't use a scooter you should use a speedway bike
Or telling a GP rider to fit MX tyres !
Bikes are there to suit all needs and tastes

Well I finally got pics of my mate Paul who built his Triumph Bobber 25 years ago and rides it regularly, its a Triumph 650 police special with single Amal carb with a leaver choke and a Joe Hunt maggie and a hand gear change, has a Sportster front end and he runs a white wall car tyre on the rear, its been very reliable and the motor hasn't been touched in the 25 years he been riding it except for general maintenance only.

And the man himself, have known Paul most of my life, we all got into bikes when we all left high school at 15 years of age, check out the Japanese flying boots, he said he had a sore toe and couldn't put his boots on (for sure lol).

I'm surprised he's not a cripple with the "comfort-plus" rear suspension!!

...and that's got to be the looongest (auto-correct tried to make this "looniest" - but maybe that's right) rear brake tie-rod I've ever seen!
Cheers

Well Rob its not a long distant ride, its his cruise bike for riding and posing and quick blast, but he knows how to ride it but it has spat him off once or twice when pushing it hard, lots of things have been hand built from stuff laying around and the paint job is a rattle can job with pin stripping, Paul is a Harley man but he hasn't forgot his British bike days, his Harley has been pulled off the road from the Raptar police crack down, him and another Harley mate have both been pulled off the road for over the top illegal mods to their Harley's, and yet they leave him alone of the Triumph, he now running a front guard for the first time in 25 years and its loud, my dogs hear him way before I do and they know his bike lol.

I watched a couple of guys doing it to a big Harley on TV for a competition, yesterday. I don't play cricket but chopping a Harley might be better.
