Some time ago I talked about changes at eBay that caused me to quit selling there after 20 years. Basically, they took over the payment part, charged more, and more importantly made my accounting a nightmare.
Recently PayPal outsourced its shipping.
I still like and use PayPal - way less expensive and was easier to work with than accepting credit cards directly.
Before, when someone paid, you clicked a button, selected the mail type (often USPS small flat-rate box), and printed the label. Took no more than 20 seconds and there was every little room for error. Now when you click to ship you are taken to ShipStation.com. About 1 in 10 times, it doesn't work at all and when it does, you have no receipt and have to go back to PayPal to print. That's annoying enough. This morning before 8am I got an email about a ShipStation shipping charge being paid. I haven't shipped anything for two days! They simply used their interface to charge me $8.65! Called PayPal and they agree but had to call ShipStation - can't call them. Had to email them. Now they are blaming it on USPS but cannot say why. So, I'll dispute the charge with PayPal. I've already spent an hour of my life on this - I'm done with ShipStation!
