Buying Parts from Amazon

There are a few parts I generally buy from Amazon. Batteries is one of them. I need a Shorai Lithium-Iron Battery LFX18A1-BS12 for an e-start bike and last time I checked Amazon had the best delivered price. Today, checking around I found them for as much as $379+tax and shipping and Amazon was $201 delivered. On a whim, I checked Wallmart.com and ended up buying there for $181 delivered! The shipping time is exactly the same. I'm an Amazon Prime member - Walmart.com doesn't have that - I will be checking there more often.

Update: I ordered the battery at 11:08am on the 18th. It was promised for before 7pm on the 23rd. It was shipped (label made) at 11:03pm on the 18th. It arrived before 11am today (20th) in perfect condition and well packed.

I used to hate it when my wife drug me into a Walmart store and I haven't been in one in the last 11 years since she died. If their online proves to be this much better than Amazon, I'll be buying more from them. BTW, it actually came from a Walmart small business seller which makes it even more shocking that it was $20 less delivered than from Amazon direct.

I'm really starting to wonder about the prime membership! I originally got it for free due to selling a book I wrote.

It's b/c WallyWorld ain't funding a space program....

Battery Sharks on e-bay, with 3 year warranty.
too easy
The cheapest on eBay today for that battery is motorheadzone at $203.64 delivered which is more than Amazon and about $23 more than Walmart. The standard Shorai LFX warranty is 3 years.

Thanks for the example.

I've been a little skeptical about buying from Walmart. Good to know they come through with delivery and the products are still in good condition.

Amazon is no longer about saving money. It is merely convenient and full of affordable imported products (lot of it junk) from countries that want to blow the USA off the face of the planet. I do like Amazon Prime video. It provides a good assortment of evening couch potato video eye candy to watch.

I use Amazon all the time and save money doing it. For instance, I needed a circuit board for a Lennox furnace and the local dealer wanted $422.00 plus tax for one. $460.00 all in. Ordered one on Amazon for $172.00 and received it today. Quite the savings.

I was a Lennox dealer/installer for 15 years. I believe they were the best; can't say about now, Trane are pretty good...

We installed a 2-speed compressor dual zone heat pump with all the bells and whistles for my parents back in the early 80s, it's still humming along.

Lennox, Trane and Amana suck with their proprietary parts bullshit. How many of those Lennox pulse furnaces did you install? Hopefully not many. Lol!
