Where are CDN's buying parts from?

I have started to source parts for my 1974 850 restoration (I'm in BC), and I've been compiling various websites in the UK, US, and here in Canada.

I've also been to Ebay and looked around there, and prices seem to be OK, but shipping costs from the US are ridiculous.

Since our $ is more like the peso my questions are:
Where are CDNs buying parts from?
Is it a variety of vendors or is it item specific?
What about duty and taxes from the US or UK?
Do you rely on just 1 or 2 suppliers?

Lastly, I don't have a deadline in mind to get this done, so longer delivery times are not an issue.

I didn't know where else to post this, so if its not the right spot, please move it.

Out west your best supplier is Motoparts in Edmonton. As you move East you’ll have Walridge Motors in Ontario and British Cycle Supply in NS. All will ship to you, I support them all.

Yes, Moto Import Parts has sent me loads of good parts. Their online search tool is a bit wacky...I use the Andover Norton online parts diagrams to zero in on exact part number needed then paste it into Motoparts tool and edit out the leading zeros and/or dash as their parts don't have them...then I can usually find the right bits. If description isn't detailed, can always email/call them for better clarity. Note a lot of their stuff also present on ebay store and even has pics.
Btw, for shipping US parts, I use a mailbox service just over border from Vancouver in Point Roberts...Let's me leverage free CONUS shipping and only takes an hour or two for the round trip to collect items. Service cost is about $4 USD per small package. ...TSB Shipping in Point Roberts. I rarely have to pay Customs duty when returning despite always declaring values.
I've also used Walridge in ON and find them very helpful. Jeep a sharp eye out for their annual end of year sale starting any time now! I bought my repro seat and Europe handlebars last January on sale even before I had taken possession of the bike :-)
 
I live in BC and get my parts from a few sources. Al Maas on Vancouver Island has lots of parts, new and used. Walridge is a good source, and as noted above, the annual sale just before Christmas is worth checking out. Old Britts is also excellent source, and while they no longer ship internationally, freight forwarding companies are a good solution to this problem. British Cycle is a good Canadian source, you can always get a knowledgeable person on the phone, and right now everything in stock, new and used, is 10% off. Colin Kelly at Custom Classic Cycle Parts makes superb quality sheet metal bits at very good prices.

Where in BC you at MCP, if you don't mind sharing that?
I'm out on my second to last ride of the year today...insurance off and rain arrives Wednesday.
