Best Movies Ever

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Unforgiven
Soylent Green
Dr. Strangelove
Star Wars (All)
A Clockwork Orange
Logan's Run
2001: A Space Odyssey
Die Hard (All)
Max Max (First two)
Water World
The French Connection
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Indiana Jones (All)

It's a Wonderful Life

The Quick and the Dead - a dumb concept but Gene Hackman and Sharon Stone make it work. To me, it's the best Sharon Stone has ever done. Fun fact. Gene Hackman was the most prolific actor and Sharon Stone in an interview said that she wanted to be the female Gene Hackman.

It's weird - I look for new movies to watch but rarely fine one that I think I'll like these days. Did watch "Honest Thief" recently and it was OK, but certainly won;t re-watch it.

No Particular order:
The Great Escape
MASH
Battle of Britain
On Any Sunday (and On Any Sunday 2)
Kelly's Heroes
Smokey and the Bandit
Most James Bond Flicks
Full Metal Jacket
Animal House
Dirty Harry
Bullitt
The Blues Bothers
Dr. Strangelove
The Italian Job (original)
The God's Must be Crazy
Jaws
Aliens
Most Tarantino Flicks
Ford Vs Ferrari
Avatar
Top Gun
The Final Countdown
The Hunt for Red October
Red (and Red 2)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
The Life of Brian

Not movies, but I did really enjoy The Mandalorian and Star Trek: Picard
Excellent list. I'd add Fail Safe. 1964 with Henry Fonda.

Once in a while i scroll through every bloody listing on Netflix, Roku, Plexi, DStream and one or two others, THOUSANDS of movies.

MIGHT occasionally find 1 or 2 I haven't seen that seem worth watching. All the rest are cr@p

I watched Being the Ricardos over the weekend. Better than I thought it was going to be, and if at all true an interesting look at a side of Lucille Ball that was never shown in public.

How about, ‘IF’ and ‘Shampoo’ if only for the bike scenes!

Snatch-a film by Guy Ritchie featuring Brad Pitt and Jason Statham.
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels-another Ritchie film with Statham.
Homefront-also with Statham
Spy-Melissa McCarthy and Jason Statham Really good, Statham parodies his other roles
Can you tell I like Jason Statham's films?

Also Heat-another Melissa McCarthy comedy. Hilarious!

Lots of my faves mentioned in previous lists, but the ones I mentioned are contemporary and will never be considered with the classics.

Nevada Smith
The Thomas Crown Affair

I bought a DVD a few years back with both the old "Thomas Crown Affair" and new "Thomas Crown Affair on the same disc. Both worth a watch in my opinion. "Nevada Smith" = great.

12 oclock high
shane
to have and have not
midsummer night's dream 1930s version
outlaw josie wales
Ferris Buellers day off
......another one where a girl exclaims.."oh! Mr. Greenfield!" can you guess it?

Greg, I'm disappointed. Easy Rider didn't make your list
What would have been nice would be to find a list of every movie and choose from it. I used the put down every movie you remember off the top of your head. My first 5 or 6 are the movies I've watched more than once - generally see no point in that.

Some that should have been on my list:
Easy Rider
The Divergent trilogy
Big one: "The world's fastest Indian". If you haven't seen it, stop what you're doing and watch it now - the first few minutes are slow but it's well worth watching!

Wow! I remembered to include Unforgiven but left out The Outlaw Josies Wales - how ridiculous of me!

World's Fastest Indian, I drove 30 miles to a small movie house to see it. None of the big theaters would show a "B" movie

Honestly, I only started watching it because I couldn't find anything else that night to stream, it was free, and Anthony Hopkins was in it - I couldn't imagine it being bad with him in it. I don't usually watch low-budget historical movies because they are usually bad. It was clearly low budget but was well made and many of the great movies were low budget (e.g., all the spaghetti westerns)

I now read reviews of films and if the review is bad then I download it for watching, most turn out to be good films. An exception is The King's Man, reviews were bad and the film is bad, trust me don't bother ;) . King Arthur Legend of the Sword is an example of a film the critics hated but is actually a good film and directed by Guy Ritchie, pity it failed at the box office and the planned sequel will never be seen.
