Are they manly or nuts?

They're certainly geographically challenged! The big photo at the top of the article was taken in Seattle's Pioneer Square. The map they show is going into Santa Monica!

I'm sure a lot of garages and parts depots will have good business and it will be an interesting time for all. Fed Ex and UPS will be busy.

Three years ago I ran support for two friends who ran two old Fords in the great race, a very simular route to the one proposed by the Cannonball group was used, It was a kick. Both cars finished and on time, but not without some traumas.

Almost 20 years ago I rode from California to Florida and back on a Norton MKIII Interstate with no real issues, I also compleated two Saddle Sore 1000's on the same machine, but I can't imagine 3000 miles on one of those old bikes. I have a friend with a Harley JD that I have ridden on a old bike rally for about 60 miles, a 300 mile day on one of those old bikes will be a long day.
