The only worry I have with my 850 motor is the steel plug I have screwed into the flywheel to fill the hole which was bored to reduce the balance factor, when the crank was modified to make the Commando smooth at low revs. The factor comes out to be 72%, which is sensible. I have ridden a Triumph Saint 650 which has the lower factor and lighter crank. It did not perform at all well. With a high balance factor, a 360 degree twin always seems to perform better. In America, there used to be guys who rode around touching cars with a tar brush to deter illegal parking. The Saint 650 was probably a substitute for a Harley Servicar.
