The Amal 13/163 fibre washers were apparently deemed unnecessary because the original Commando carb banjos were made of plastic so seal without the need for washers and is why the fibre washers are not listed in the Commando parts books.

Interesting – I'm not sure I've ever seen a plastic banjo, but if I have I've probably replaced it with a metal one asap. Thanks for the info.

So does anyone know where I can get these washers here in the states? I upgraded to the premiums and got rid of my nylon banjos but I have a slight leak, like 2 drops in a week if it sits that long just on the left side-right side is OK but I should probably get a pair.

Thank you. Old Britts is sending them onward. Owned the bike since '74 and not used to any leaks, especially petrol, got rid of the chain oiler but other than that it's been pretty much leak-free!
