Your battery should work.
FWIW gel cell and absorbed glass mat are not the same.
Since we rarely ride at 0 deg F the 190 CCA amps is probably no big deal, since you should still be able to crank for 30 seconds. If It doesn't start you are in trouble anyway. :oops:
 
You can use a 14 amp battery, however when you push the starter button the starter draws the battery voltage down. Some ignitions may not tolerate a voltage drop below 9 volts, and cause a backfire that could break the sprag clutch, so that is a consideration when using a smaller battery.
