Can someone help me on alternator wiring for a 1973 Commando 850? I have had to renew the bullet connectors from the two-wire alternator to the wiring loom. I didn't label them when I snipped them, thinking the colour coding would be as per the manual. The alternator wires are BOTH Green/Yellow, yet the manual states that one wire should be Green/Yellow and the other should be Green/White. The wires to which they connect, in the wiring loom, are coloured Green/White and Green/Yellow. Does it matter how they are reconnected? If it does, how do I test which is which?
