alternator stator: how to mount it?

Hi All
I found that one of the holes was smaller than the other two.
Drilled it out to same size.
Stator now fits with good 0-010" all round.
Wonder how many other stators are the same.
I bought mine about 20 years ago.

Something to think about on this subject is sealing the sheathing where the wires come out of it. This will stop any rain water running down and penetrating the rotor. Can't be good for it, I got an eggcup full out of mine. It does rain over there doesn't it?

I am about 100 miles south of you in the "suuny" UK as well.
Hopefully not as wet, wet, wet as last year.

Hopefully get the cluth and alternator sorted ready for the
Surrey NOC bash at Brooklands on June 9th.
