Thought i would share a couple of pics of the "S" .You will have to excuse the mirror (aftermarket for safety) and an oil gauge fitted. I also have the chain oiler blocked and have yet to find the right reflectors for the tank brackets but after from that i have finished tinkering. Just waiting on a couple of upholstry clips to fix the seat.Totally drains the oil in a week so i either start it every three days or else when i ride i drain and replace the oil to the tank. i have lapped the pump etc but the wet sumping doesn't really worry me too much as i only ride it once a month and it gives me a chance to check things out before i ride.

Thanks for the nice comments. It is really appreciated coming from people who know the Norton. I get ohhs and ahhs like us all on the street but thats mostly the chrome and paint causes that. Pics of oil gauge (design by Norbsa)

Nice job Rob,
I am building one just like it (even the same colour) at the moment and hope to have mine ready in a few weeks time. The reflectors are quite expensive new. I bought some old ones of the correct type and dismantled, chromed the rims and cleaned them up, they look like new now. Do you have the original reflector mounts? and are they bolted to the front tank mounts?

My recollection is the reflectors were mounted on "L" brackets held by the two front tank mounting studs.

You are right Jean , I do not have brackets or reflectors , brackets are easy to make . I have an old reply somewhere here where someone was kind enuff to photograph the brackets for me. reflectors are not so easy to find and very expensive new. I have some off a BSA which are similar but not quite. I am not stressing looking for them they will turn up of fleabay eventually
