The first shipment to the US occurred in December. US dealers, and many prospective buyes are waiting for the next one. My dealer tells me that Norton factory has been very tight lipped about the date for next US shipment.

I don't know whether the cylinders have pressed in liners or are Nikasil-ed. Matt or Carlos at SouthBay would be the people to say.

Matt and Carlos are the real deal. They make go fast goodies for the new Triumph Bonneville and now have parts for the 961's. They had their new website online a few weeks ago. However, they appear to have removed the new site for some reason. The site contained several items of interest for the new Norton.

1. 1000, and 1100 cc big bore kits, with HC forged pistons.
2. Lightweight pushrods, needle bearing for the rockers, and roller lifters. (see the link, I saved a copy of this page from their new site)
3. Dominator silencers, and cross over pipe to eliminate the cats. ( I have a set of the corssover pipes and silensers on my 961.)

I have heard rumors that there will shortly also be a roller cam, for the roller lifters.

If southbay could put a 961 in your hands they would. They're in business to make money. The real problem is back on the other side of the pond. No supply from Norton. All the US dealers have the same problem. You're not alone, many folks in the UK were angry that Norton sent bikes to North America last yeaR, before first satisfying European demand.
This is the problem with a small startup company, demand out paces supply.
