850 connecting rods

My Mk3 Estart commando has factory "D" rods - I wanted to reuse these rods during my rebuild, but second guessing myself due to comments in regards to the double " D " stamping being the root cause for rods to fracture over time through the shank. Has anyone reused these rods ? Andover- Norvil technical section at website commented that they destroy these rods whenever found during rebuilding. Is there anyone that has any factual information good or bad? Thanks.

Lets keep our facts straight here - Andover NORTON has nothing to do with Norvil. !
