Having owned my 850 for 26yrs (was my only ride from 18-23 yrs old) , and dragging it around from west to east coast repeatably, i decided it was time for a new rebuild some 4 month ago-just finished about 3 weeks ago-weew! ! . Don't have any pics of the original bike i got so long ago (before digital cameras), but silver bike is the second reincarnation taken some 5 yrs ago ( had about 15K on top end and at least 35K on the bottom before this rebuild) - new yellow version is present state. Went through everything but the transmission - hopefully will last till I'm cold

I like both versions. Is the tank aluminum? That is somewhat what I was thinking for my bike. Yellow bodywork with a polished tank.

It might look even sleeker with Roadster side panels.

Can't wait for GP to come along and bitch about how hard it is to work on a bike with the swept-back pipes...

I HATE THE PIPES!

hee hee

The bike looks wild, and I'll bet it's tons of fun.

I've seen some very nice tanks, very expensive tanks and all other manner of tanks. I still like my OEM steel interstate tank best. Something about the shape, with the Norton package, just seems "right" to me.
