Can anyone take a photo of their centrestand to let me see how the centrestand spring attaches to the centrestand - Im not sure that Im missing something as the spring doesent seem to tension the stand enough.....thanks all

Is this the locating spring on an early Commando center stand that comes off the frame, not the cradle? If so, where does it go? I got it with my center stand from RGM.

Thread 'center stand spring, 1969 Commando'

Can anyone tell me where the center stand spring attaches on the early Commandos? The bike is all stock with the old style center stand. As I understand, the spring simply goes under the bottom tube of the stand, but I don't see where to attach it to the frame. There is a small hole close to the stand pivot point, but it is too close to cause the spring to extend when the stand is down, if that makes any sense.

Firstly big thanks for that. Exactly what I needed (and glad Im not the only one who couldnt work it out).
Apologies to all who were screaming just look up the thread - honest I tried that first but could only find references to the later centre stand......
