2LS brakes on an Atlas, which brake cable?

I am finishing my 1965 Norton Atlas project and have a front brake cable question. I am putting on UK bars and a Commando 2LS front brake. I read that the standard Atlas cable won’t work with the 2LS because it doesn’t have an adjuster on the brake lever and I am confused about which brake cable to use, the cable for the Atlas with the single leading shoe (35 inch outer cable length?) or a 68-70 Commando front brake cable for the twin leading shoe (32 inch outer cable length?). From my research it looks like the outer cable is a different length and the inner cable to outer cable length is different. I am planning on not using a cable with the brake light switch

I’m sure one of you Atlas riders has put the 2LS brake on your Atlas, what arrangement did you use (Commando or Atlas cable? outer cable length? inner to outer length?)

Thanks in advance for any advice .

the thread for the adjuster on the brake is different , the 2LS uses a UNF thread, Atlas is 26 TPI

I contacted Venhill thru ebay and they made me an extra-stout, oversized front brake cable for a Commando drum without a switch, I would imagine that they could help-out on this also.

I don't know about '68, but the '69 Commando has the switch in the cable. I needed a new cable for my Ranger (Rangers came with the switch, P11As didn't), so I got a Commando cable and cut about 5" off to match the length of the original Ranger cable. The adjuster at the lower end has a jam nut (the brake stay/cable holder is not threaded). The upper adjuster is similar to the clutch adjuster - squared slotted trunion with indexed thumbwheel adjuster. The levers are the new copies of Doherty, and my brake lever has the integral choke (air) lever.

Thanks for all the responses. I decided to make the cable myself. I took some old cables I had, pulled off the cables ends and put the adjuster, clevis loop and cable end on the best of the lot. Then I started working through the outer cable length. I made a cable end like the emergency repair ones available on eBay but with locking setscrews on each side and I was able to cut the outer cable and adjust the cable end until I could establish a workable difference between the inner and outer cable. Now I am working through some other brake adjustment details. Soon I will fire up the solder pot and finish the cable. Once I get it all finished I will probably order a lined custom cable from Venhill and keep mine as a spare.

Thanks again for your advice and suggestions.
