2024 INOA Rally June 17th-22nd Woodstock, New Hampshire USA

I'm ready!

2024 INOA Rally June 17th-22nd Woodstock, New Hampshire USA

Found a Mexican Bar and grill in Lincoln. They have Kick-Ass FROZEN margaritas and good guacamole. I drank the first one too fast and got a brain freeze! I'll try to be more judicious on the second one. It's too goddamn hot to be outdoors! I think I'll hunker down here for a few hours.

Life is good.

Considering the oppressive heat it was a great time. If I seemed antisocial it was due to the heat and my health conditions. I managed to get out early for a few breakfast rides and some other activities. I spent a lot of time hunkered in my cabin that was surprisingly comfortable. The roads were phenomenal and the food was great. All things considered, the chapter did the best they could under the conditions.

Just to say thanks to the organisers and the rally stewards and the campsite owner for an excellent week. Must also thank the owners who attended from some long distances, without you there would have been no incentive for me and Karl to come and visit. We were made so welcome, not just by the attendees but also by the local NH residents and business owners. The feedback and comments we received were really welcome and some of the requests are now underway so watch this space. I was surprised by the amount of owners who have the bikes from new and still ride them.
We managed to get some riding in on the local roads, photos and videos to appear soon. The 4 miles down the gravel road was most interesting and from the warning signs not the place to break down or stop without adequate wildlife repellent.
Sadly it seems US Norton owners don't get any younger, we have the same issues here in the UK. I did ask if anyone had a Norton stand at the bike week before the rally, and was told it was mostly HD's, exactly my point and we have proven this in the UK. We have attended non Norton / non classic events here with Norton's on display and it is surprising just how many owners of other makes say they have a father who has one but can't ride it as they are not strong enough or they have inherited one and did not know they could get parts.

It was a pleasure to meet with you both. And thank you for making the effort to come & participate.

Even though I wasn't in condition to ride, I had a good time meeting up with fellow Norton owners. I even had the change to catch up with an Atlanta Club member that I hadn't seen in over 20 years. Thanks to all who attended.

I got there just in time for the concourse on Wednesday. Two great (late!) nights hanging out at the pavilion, ducking the rain under the tent and Friday by the campfire. Met new and old friends and of course some AccessNorton regulars
