1972 Combat Commando

I recently inherited a 1972 Combat Commando. After a year of working on it I finally got it running well. I knew nothing about them until I inherited it. I have been looking on line but have yet to see another one like mine. I was thinking that the gold metal flake paint job was after market but the local guy here says it was a factory paint color. Does anyone here know? I am going to attempt to post a photo.

Welcome Steve, the parts book lists "Fireflake Golden Bronze" as one of the many options for 1972, so I'm guessing that is what it is.

Hey thanks. That is good to know. I have only logged about 400 miles since I got it running. The more I ride the more i am hooked on the Norton.
