If it was "production" 50 years ago then where is the evidence
today of similar units in production level quantities?
One off's and owner hybrid modifications are often built by folks, but convincing me that the factory originally built them as production is usually not so convincing.
I was around and IN norton dealers in 1971 Hamden Cycle in Connecticut and in Syracuse New York. I saw no series 1 Hi Riders. But I did buy new off the showroom floor a new leftover 1970 (S1) yellow S1 roadster ...exactly as in my avatar, except no girl. It was my first motorcycle. $1635
