Hi All.
I am going on to mount the bike.
Please, a question, i have the clutch assy that has a 0,3 mm of float end even if the locKnut is well tight.
I can think that is the gearbox mainshaft that has this end float that then go to clutch assy.
In any case, is this a correct and not dangerous clearance?.
As always, thank you.

Checked better, the main shaft has no end play.
Is the clutch that plays onthe shaft.

Piero:

That play does not seem to be right, or even possible.

The clutch rests on a shoulder of the main shaft, and the nut clamps it tight (zero play).
Any play must be within the clutch backplate, race cage, race plate and center body.

You do know the race plate is drawn BACKWARDS in the AN exploded drawing. The groove should face the rollers.

I would disassemble and inspect all parts mentioned above.

It can be the mainshaft , a bearing, a missing spacer , but it can also be the clutch center spider that has fractured its internal shoulder . I have seen several do that .

Clutch center nut overtighten. Thats what I did on the 99 and the shoulder stop in the spider gave way and allowed the clutch to travel on the box shaft towards the box. Spacer ? I think there is one next to sprocket, I will look at manual.
