Looking good Jerry. Finally getting to finish touches on my never ending BSA restoration. Got a quick question for those who know.
I was wondering what you do with the breather hose at top of oil tank? I was going to run it out the back like I do with nortons, but perhaps there is a better way?
Thanks
Jerry

Thanks mate. I think I will run it out backFor years I just had a pipe going straight down to the underside of the bike
Nothing ever comes out
I'd imagine the only time you'd get oil out the breather would be if you'd overfilled it while it had wet dumped
How much oil did you have in the chaincase?Hi Glen,
Thanks for asking. I have got 17 miles on it, then it started snowing and I had problems.
So had some issues:
- Bad oil leak behind primary/ clutch. I took it all to bits and jammed another felt seal in there, behind the clutch. This is a trick SRM say to do and it worked.
- I tried to use road rider tires, but rear tire rubbed and got damaged as its too wide, so I switched to tt100s instead, so that is resolved.
- Its smoking and oil rings are not bedding in, so I need to ride it more.
- Speedo was registering miles, but not actually working. Rev counter not working too. It seems the rotation is wrong, so sent these both back to Andy for fix.
I just need gauges back and then I can test it more Stay tuned.
Cheers
Jerry
