I spent ages messing about with & re machining triple clutches. As pointed out by Onder, the cover plate is a piss poor effort which requires truing. Also, the basket requires machining to the correct depth for the thickness of friction plate in use. I seem to remember a depth of 0.920" for the Surflex plate I had, but something different for a Hyde plate, but don't quote me as it was quite a while ago. The best lift I ever measured was 0.032" on the OIF T160 I built.
