Wouldn‘t be confident running #7s in this motor. I use NGK Iridium #8 normally and #9 for track use. Recently been running Denso IW24 (equivalent of NGK #8).

I used a white polishing stick on a cotton buffing wheel followed by Simichrome. Removed the blue but left a faint straw color. Most importantly, it did not dull the chrome like dedicated blue removal products.
