I am currently working on a BSA A50, not much info on these.
OIL LINES....there is a small 1/8" tube at the top of the oil tank facing foreward. I assume this is to feed the rockers. It comes off the oil return pipe. However, there is another 1/8" tube coming off the oil pump manifold on the case which the owner had connected to the rocker feed. In a test with the motor running, the pipe off the oil tank produces much more oil so I have selected it for the rocker feed. But what is the small pipe off the manifold for? Can I just dead end it?

#2...The new single concentric (26mm) has a #3 slide. It will not run with the usual air screw settings, happier at 1/2 turn. Since the slide cut away is the only thing to work with I am guessing a #2 1/2 or #2 is called for even though I have never needed to go below a #3 in other bikes. Anybody have experience with 1969 A50 carburetion?

Standard A50 slide was 3 1/2 according to the '69-'70 (00-4177) factory manual.

I expect that with the exception of the engine displacement most everything would be the same as an A65.
