Not been out for a ride in ages due to the bike being off the road with a faulty map sensor. Had a great ride out today, around 50 miles or so in the northants/leics countryside. Coffee stop. Mainly dry but pretty wet towards the end of the trip. My new Avons felt grippy and sure footed in the wet. I wasn't peg scraping by any means but they felt good and handled the bumps

One of my favourite things to stop and admire en route, the stunning Harringworth viaduct

Be honest.... It was the sheep :)
We have similar viaduct at Chappel and Wakes Colne, which I will try and photo when I have new plug caps!

Yeah, theres a post way back whwn I added it originally, fabbed out of 2.5mm 3k twill sheet carbon, It wasnt long after i did the sensor replacements and noticed the cam sensor sat there directly in the path of any shit flying off the road, I coul dhave made it half that height to clear the sensor but got carried away :D

& whilst we on that exposed cam sensor subject , I got this carbon fibre front mudguard extender for like £20 on eBay , it’s for a triumph 675 & fits perfect attached with powerful silicon, the carbon weave is the same

Hello Richard , Where are you in this picture ?
Holding my phone taking this pic , few of the gang there, concerns were raised amongst the ranks bout our small number plates with police car there , but the couple in car seemed only interested in each other

Stumbled across this privately owned independent mini museum of “Morgan’s” , be right up Clive & wodgedodges alley , not something u come across every day , it’s near Cranbrook in Kent , another successful 160 mile day jaunt on the 961

Upped my British content. Fitted the excellent Avon Spirit ST sports/touring tyres which hopefully will hugely outlive the dunlops that were on and needed changing sub 3K miles. Look at those beautiful tread pattens. Yes you are all well JELL I bet, look at the flags

Went with some Dunlop Q3+ myself, did look up the Avons but there was not a lot to choose from here in Aus.

Dirt on my sensor protector is because the neighbour was cleaning the driveway when I came home, she never sees wet roads normally :D for that exact reason.

Sorry about the delay in responding - house move which went wrong, major (not bike) road accident, family illnesses, additional bike purchase....

Looks great and what you didn't appreciate is I am also a penny farthing fan so all boxes ticked there! Definitely on the 'nice day out' list thanks!

Nice weather today, so my grandson and I took our old and new Commandos for a ride, along with a friend on an MZ, through some twisties to a local Italian Restaurant (Boccali's in Ojai, Ca.) for lunch. Two generations of Nortons and first and third generation of Ken's. The green one belongs to my grandson Ken, and the red one is mine (also Ken), in case anyone was wondering. The MZ Skorpion used to be mine, until I sold it to my friend Eric. It was a fun day.

It’s still motorbike Monday down in the south east corner of the UK, rode to an few bikes shops on the 100 mile ride today , but here’s a couple of pics leaving town that mention where two famous people have previously visited , one in 2017& the other in 1835.

To be mentioned in the same sentence as Queen Victoria is quite an honor to bestow on one ! You are doing us a wonderful service riding your 961 properly and helping to keep this forum alive . Thank you sir ! I wish I could help more . Actually now , you have given me motivation to resurrect some of the photos of the trip , especially the ones at Norton and the IOM classic.

Quick pic....something Im trying out. A get you out the shit push button. Seems to work a treat, when the battery only has enough power to create the death rattle from the starter solenoid when you hit the proper start button, this manually engages and holds the solenoid, giving you a second chance of it cranking and starting. Gotta be better than shouting the lads over in the pub for a bump start haha

That's sweet Stu ! Can the rear be done with a better cush drive replacement ? I know there are the wheel kits from Italy with the awesome spokes sold by HPS Harwood Performance Source . KINEO is the brand
